but by then, why not go all the way and overrun Europe? Force them to surrender unconditionally. It would be nicer to have potential for more peace deals, but UK was not likely going to sue for peace while half of Europe was overrun by the Axis (while still untouchable by Germany), and Germany only tried once they were losing.
